Cardi B has been announced as the new headliner for the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 27, stepping in after The Weeknd withdrew due to personal reasons. The event — held on the Great Lawn in Central Park — will also feature Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah the Scientist, Camilo, and Elyanna. Cardi, a native New Yorker, said she’s “honored to come home” and support the mission to end extreme poverty.
