We are excited to announce our next artist, Jeannie Ortega! She will release her album Letting Go with Rapzilla through Syntax Creative. The first single “I Promise” featuring Datin will be released on April 26th.
“In a time when many people are giving up on their families, I wrote ‘I Promise’ to renew my vow that I would do whatever it takes to maintain a healthy relationship with my spouse and children,” Ortega said of the song. “This reaffirms my commitment and commitment to my family, to working hard and getting better for the people I love.”
Datin shared that Jenny sent him the song before he knew he was going to be the father of his son. It became prophetic to him.
“In the song, I talk about my thoughts on being a father,” Duttin said. “After I sent the song back, I found out my wife was pregnant, and it was a boy!”
Jenny’s upcoming album is everything she is. It’s hip-hop, pop, Latin, and worship. On this album, she returns to her Brooklyn-Puerto Rican roots.
“This album is where I let go of everything,” she said. “It’s raw, it’s honest, it’s real. I’m sharing the truth. The truth that got me through it. The truth of my life and how I overcame some things and all the difficulties that came with it.”
Jeannie’s music has taken a pop/CCM route over the years, but she’s always had her roots in hip-hop.
