Big Sean is not ready to marry Jenny Aiko, the relationship needs work
Big Sean and Jhené Aiko have been married for more than a decade and are proud of their one-year-old son, Noah. But they are not married yet. Big Sean revealed in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God on his podcast Out of Context, which premiered on YouTube on Friday (August 2) that he’s not ready to get married, adding that he and Jhené still have a lot going on To do.
At the 1-hour mark in the video below, when CthaGod asks Sean if he married Jhené in a “secret industry ceremony,” he smiles and says no.
“No, no, there are no secret industry marriages,” Sean Tang said. “It’s a little bit personal, you know what I mean? But it’s just as real as being with you, like anybody who’s dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs, you know what I’m saying? I I Think it’s still finding the right way to navigate.
“I think a lot of people are like, ‘Oh, you have to get married,'” he continued. “But to me, it’s also almost a fear-based way of thinking. Because then people are going to get divorced. The divorce rate is so high.”
“There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done,” he added.
Big Sean is adamant that marriage is not out of the question, but he feels like sometimes their career isn’t as important as their relationship.
“I can only speak for myself when I say that more needs to be done so that we can move forward,” Sean said. “Because we’re so focused on our families and our careers and everything, but I feel like that’s not the main focus.”

Big Sean says Kendrick Lamar apologized via text message for leaked comments
Elsewhere in the interview, Big Sean addressed the rumored tension between him and Kendrick Lamar. The former GOOD Music artist reiterated that there is no dispute between him and K-Dot. However, he admitted there had been animosity brewing between them for some time.
Charlamagne asked Sean if he had ever recorded a prepared diss track, and he said he had.
“I was definitely not running away or hiding from any type of smoke,” Sean told Charlamagne. “So when I heard there might be some remnants, I actually had something ready to go, I’m not going to lie. Kendrick has been at my house. Me and him are cool, by the way. He invited me to his mom’s house Home before…we were calmer then, let me say…I didn’t talk to him.
In 2023, a leaked version of Kendrick’s 2017 song “Element”. Kendrick’s taunting of Shawn surfaced online, angering Detroit Rhymes.
“I was like, ‘Damn, y’all said this wasn’t shit but something. So you’re making me look crazy. The thing is, that song came out and he changed that bar, right? So you’re making me look crazy. The song doesn’t come out anymore so I have to remember that because I was so angry when I heard it.
Shawn then showed Charlamagne a text exchange between him and Kendrick, which apparently confirmed that K-Dot had “sort of apologized for going that far and for having that shit come out.”
