Former President Barack Obama just taught Donald Trump what true leadership looks like.
Obama praises Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance, while President Donald Trump gets publicly tantrum over hearing Spanish on TV.
In a recent interview with Brian Cohen, Obama called the “Bad Bunny” show “smart because it wasn’t preachy.”
He said the show showcased a sense of community and brought people together across language barriers. The former president stressed that viewers who don’t speak Spanish still feel connected to the generational celebration they witnessed.
“It’s showing. It’s showing and showing that this is community,” Obama explained.
He pointed to moments like elderly women offering drinks and children dancing with their grandmothers as examples of the beloved community Dr. King envisioned.
Donald Trump has taken the opposite approach. He called Bad Bunny’s performance “the worst ever” and “disgusting” on social media. The current president complained that much of the show was not in English.
Republican lawmakers joined Trump’s outrage campaign. Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles is asking Congress to conduct a comprehensive investigation into NBC and the NFL.
He claimed the performance was inappropriate and breached broadcasting standards.
The FCC investigated the complaints and found zero violations. Sources told multiple media outlets that “Bad Bunny” did not violate profanity or obscenity rules.
The FCC noted that singing in Spanish does not violate any broadcasting regulations.
This cultural divide illustrates exactly why Trump and MAGA remain so out of touch with modern America. Bad Bunny represents the largest Spanish-speaking generation in American history.
His music topped the charts and played in stadiums across the country. Yet Trump acted as if hearing Spanish was some kind of personal attack.
The contrast became even more stark when Turning Point America attempted to create its own “All-American Halftime Show” as a counter-programming stunt.
The conservative group claimed that 5 million people watched its alternative show, which featured Kid Rock and other right-wing performers.
Candace Owens reveals the entire operation was fake. She revealed that TPUSA filmed their show on a soundstage in Georgia two weeks before the Super Bowl.
Owens said the organization paid about 180 people $250 each to accommodate the small crowd.
“They cheated on the view count,” Owens said on her show. She explained how TPUSA shot multiple takes over two days to create the illusion of a live performance.
Kid Rock faced his own scandal when viewers noticed his apparent lip-synching during his performance of “Bawitdaba.” The audio and video didn’t match, and it was obvious he wasn’t really singing.
Kick Rock later admitted that the show was pre-recorded, but denied lip-syncing, blaming “audio sync issues.”
The entire TPUSA production became a perfect metaphor for the Trump movement. They create false crowds, false energy, and false authenticity while attacking the real thing.
Bad Bunny delivers real culture and community while they create outrage and artificial alternatives.
