Last month, YoungBoy was charged with 63 counts involving identity fraud, forgery, obtaining a prescription by false pretenses, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, pattern of unlawful activity and possession of a controlled substance.
In early May, KUTV reported that more charges were added to the controversial rapper’s list, including possession of a firearm by a restricted person and two counts of obtaining a prescription without a license.
Days later, New Orleans’ FOX 8 revealed during a court hearing that YB’s bond was set at $100,000. Additionally, his arraignment is scheduled for July.
A Louisiana spitter was arrested last month in connection with a prescription drug fraud ring in Utah.
Here’s how his alleged scheme worked, according to the affidavit: “The suspect solicited prescriptions, claimed to be a real doctor, and used fraudulent patient names and birthdates, all for promethazine and codeine. Prescription Sometime after being brought in, they will be dispensed and administered by [YoungBoy and/or people referred to as ‘Known Associates’ 1 and 2]”.
The 24-year-old even allegedly impersonated a doctor in the scheme, but suspicions were raised when he used the word “axe” instead of “ask”.
