Fans Think Doja Cat Scorns Her Dad in Instagram Caption

The Grammy-winning superstar penned the subliminal caption under her latest Instagram post, and fans thought the rapper was mocking her father.

Does Doja Cat cast a shadow over her father?

Doja Cat posted a slideshow on Instagram on Sunday (May 26), showing her in shock with a blanket covering her back. However, the caption of the IG post caught her followers’ attention with its wording. Underneath the photo of the carousel, the 28-year-old artist suggested that there are people who regret their wrongdoings.

“I’m going to make you my next project and you’re going to have to listen to it for the rest of your god-forsaken life,” Doja Cat wrote.

Immediately, Doja Cat’s IG followers commented on California Rhymes’ post, thinking she was referring to her father. Doja’s fans applauded her for speaking out against him.

“You became a star in his absence [raised hands emoji] As a star, you should stay,” one user wrote.

“Bad guys without dads, unite[nail painting emoji],” another user entered.

Meanwhile, another user called Doja by her middle name and expressed sympathy for the star’s father’s absence.

“Welcome to the Zandile Club,” a third user wrote. “Unfortunately, South Africa is full of deadbeat dads [crying emoji]”.

Earlier in the day, the blog page Onsite! Doja Cat reportedly had something different in the caption of her IG post. Previous articles found the rapper directly addressing her father’s extensive drug use. The post can be seen below.

“Dad, let me know when/if you need me to reorganize your makeup cabinet because you’re an asshole,” Doja Cat wrote.

Doja Cat’s brother denies abusing her

Although Doja Cat remains tight-lipped when it comes to family matters, they still made headlines earlier this year. In January 2024, Doja Cat’s brother Raman Dalihando Dlamini faced charges of abusing Doja after Doja Cat’s mother claimed in a restraining order that Dlamini reportedly verbally and physically harmed Doja.
