Drake Gaave backed British rapper Octavian a few years ago, and he’s still rocking the burgeoning talent with a new co-sign this week Proved this.

In an Instagram Story on Friday (May 24), Drizzy shared Octavian’s latest release, which he incorporated into the beat of Drake and Giveon’s 2020 “Chicago Freestyle.”

After hearing about Drake’s post, the East Londoner retweeted it to his Instagram Story along with a dagger and black heart emoji.

Drake has been rocking out with Octavian since January 2018, when Drizzy gave the British artist his final co-sign and let him rap his song in front of the camera at the Golden Globes afterparty.

“I woke up one day and it was like Drake was singing the lyrics. It all started from there,” Octavian told High Snob the following month. “But I personally don’t think it grew just because of Drake. [All it did] It’s about helping the fans I already have confirm that they like the song.

In other news, Drake surprisingly performs Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” beat in a new collaboration with Sexy Red.

The St. Louis rapper released her new album “In sexyy We Trust” on Friday (May 24). This includes a song called “U My Everything,” which features Drizzy.

The song was produced by Tay Keith, but parts of Drake’s verses find him rapping over the beat Metro Boomin used to mock him.

“Why do you love me? Still a mystery/I learned the history with the surgeon/I really changed a lot of girls’ lives/They needed a new body, they beat me,” 6 God before the “BBL Drizzy” instrumental rap.

He then spat: “BBL Drizy, they wanted a new body, they asked me for it/The last one, Jung, he did it for free because I sent him a lot of past bodies.”

“U My Everything” is Drake’s second collaboration with Sexy Red, following “Rich Baby Daddy,” which appeared on his “For All the Dogs” album and featured SZA.

Metro Boomin posted his “BBL Drizzy” beat on SoundCloud in early May as part of their ongoing feud, fueling rumors that Drake had had a Brazilian butt lift.

The producer launched a contest to encourage fans to improvise over the instrumental, offering a free beat to the winner. Soon after, he upped the ante, promising a $10,000 cash prize for the winner.

The name “BBL Drizzy” was first coined when Rick Ross took to social media to mock Drake for allegedly undergoing plastic surgery.
