Gunna is gearing up to launch his first-ever clothing line and is giving fans a sneak peek before the collection officially hits the market.
The collection, called P by Gunna, is a collaboration with the men’s department of popular clothing store Boohoo.
In an Instagram post this week, BoohooMAN showcased a number of pieces and emphasized their unisex nature, as some of the items were modeled by several women.
The collection will be released on June 5th.
Gunna’s latest album dropped earlier this month and has already generated some big sales, but not as much as he expected.
According to Billboard’s latest report, One Of Wun ranks second on the Top 200 Albums chart, behind Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department.” With 91,000 equivalent album units, this is his sixth top five hit on the chart.
Earlier this month, HitsDailyDouble reported that initial sales forecasts for the YSL rapper’s latest LP were 79,000 streams and 1,000 album sales, and that he far exceeded those numbers.
Despite this win, the Georgia native has yet to live up to the standard he set for himself prior to his loss at One Of Wun.
TMZ caught up with the 30-year-old star in late April and asked him if he thought the album would top the charts.
“Of course” he replied. “Album ‘One of Wun’ – No. 1.”
On the subject of a record that surpasses his critically acclaimed 2023 box set The Gift and the Curse , he says without hesitation: “Of course.”
Gunna’s last album was named HipHopDX’s Greatest Comeback of 2023.
News editor Andy Bustard wrote of the project: “For a while, many wondered whether Gunna would be able to return to the level he had achieved 11 months earlier when he scored his first No. 1 album with DS4Ever height. Some even wonder if his career is completely over.
“With the release of his third album, A Gift & A Curse…Gunna silences his critics and proves that not even whistleblower accusations can drown out Drip King.”
He added: “Rich with infectious, powerful songs and a lack of guest features, the project embodies a provocative style that peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200, while its Platinum-certified single “Fukumean” cracked the top 5 on the Hot 100, becoming one of the biggest (and most unlikely) rap songs of 2023. “
