Drake’s Toronto mansion is at the center of an investigation after a shooting occurred late last night.
According to City News and CBC News, the shooting occurred outside Drake’s home just after 2 a.m. Toronto police confirmed the incident on Twitter Tuesday morning. Earlier Tuesday, police blocked the entrance to the property on Park Lane Circle in the posh Bridle Path neighborhood.

Police said the approximate location was near the corner of Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue. Police have not commented further on the case but said one man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), citing police sources, reported that the victim was not Drake, but a security guard.
They further reported that the initial call identified the victim as a security guard at the home who appeared to have been shot in a drive-by attack. When police arrived, he suffered a gunshot wound to his upper chest and was unconscious. He underwent emergency surgery at the hospital.
Over the past few weeks, Drake has been involved in a heated rap battle with Kendrick Lamar.
