Drake’s latest Kendrick Lamar statement, “The Heart Part 6,” has sparked a hip-hop craze, and opinions are pretty divided. As usual, Team Drizzy stood on one side, while K-Dot supporters stood on the other.
On Sunday night (May 5), Drake responded to K-Dot’s “Not Like Us,” which Kendrick released the day before. It’s been a wild weekend in hip-hop. The two hosts have spoken out five times in the past three days. Busy with pens and stalls. “Heart Six” brought a successful conclusion to the diss war on the first weekend of May. Now rappers and the entire hip-hop community are putting their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).
Drake’s grievances include claims that he knowingly gave Kendrick false information about “The Boy,” such as that he had an alleged secret daughter and the drug K-Dot used in the “Meet the Grahams” cover art.
In the wake of Drake’s diss, some in Kendrick’s camp surprisingly called it a “good fight.” The comment came from Top Dawg Entertainment founder Anthony “Top Dog” Tiffith, but not before he declared K-Dot “The King.” Kendrick was signed to TDE.
“Now we see that Dot is still king. It’s time to respond to those who think differently and reach out… don’t like us. TDE,” Tiffith shared.
Metro Boomin also commented on the new comments, posting a photo of NBA player Chris Paul and writing: “Chris Paul hits a 3-pointer, Cutting the lead to 42 points was obviously a slight against Drake, who Metro had attacked earlier on Sunday.
Guapdad 4000 praised The Boy’s latest rhyme, but as a West Coast rhymer, Guap also backed Kenny’s “Not Like Us”: “But it’s not enough to compete with an anthem that somehow unifies the West Coast,” Drake snapped. Ha ha.
