Jim Jones shrugs off airport brawl

Jim Jones appears to be moving on quickly from the incident in which he was involved in a scuffle at a Florida airport over the weekend.

On Saturday night (May 4), TMZ released a video showing the Dipset capo fighting with two men on an escalator, reportedly at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

When the three men reached the bottom of the escalator, two Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies broke up the scuffle. When someone pulled the cooperating Jones to a seating area, the rapper claimed he was defending himself, arguing, “It was the two of them against me.”

Moments later, the Harlem rapper posted a since-deleted post on Instagram with the caption: “I’m so cute to all my family and I get so many calls and texts back God, this is good.

He goes on to reassure his loved ones in the video, saying, “I’m fine, I gotta get dressed and go to this party, man. I’m going to be with you. Promise, promise: I’m okay.”

However, by the time he returned to IG, Jimmy had moved on with his night and wanted to focus on the aforementioned party he was hosting at Taboo nightclub in Miami.

“You heard me, the show must go on,” he says in a new video. “Taboo, tonight, you know where I am. Yeah, fuck all that other shit. Pull me up. We gotta celebrate. Life is life.

Jim Jones’s final airport encounter was a much more pleasant, funny and positive one.

He’s continuing his mission to promote his signature sunglasses by temporarily pitching them to celebrities and adding a new one to the list: the Boosie Badazz.

The glasses are a collaboration between Jim’s Vamp Life and Vintage Frames Company and have been given to Fabolous, Memphis Bleek, Ja Rule and more. So when Jones met Busey recently at an unnamed airport, there was only one thing to do.

Jones handed the glasses to Bussey, noting that they would be perfect the next time he sits courtside at an NBA game.

These days, though, there’s more to Jones’ life than just self-promotion.

In March, he and Jadakis stood shoulder to shoulder with health care workers as they marched to the governor’s office.

Back in January, the 1199SEIU health care workers union called on the governor to stop Medicaid payments to hospitals. Under the current administration, only 70 percent of Medicaid hospital bills are paid, and unions are calling for an end to the practice.
