Camron and Mace have a long and strange history. They played basketball together in high school, became rap stars with different teams, and then became hosts of the “It Is What It Is” podcast. There have been some frictions along the way, but Cam and Mays have become better friends than ever, even recording music together. The former want to publish it and love talking about it. The latter doesn’t want anything to drop before the time comes, though.
What to do with time? Well, neither does Cameron. The rapper confirmed on Instagram Live that he and Mase have enough music to make a full album. He also revealed that Murda Mase has kept the music under wraps. “Mes and I got an album,” he asserts. “He said we can’t kill it! I don’t know what it’s about. We did six or seven songs. We did these songs, and then he said, ‘No.'”
Cam’ron assured fans that he would love to take them out, but he doesn’t want to go against his associates’ wishes. “I don’t know why Mace wanted to save them,” he added. “But we wrote the songs together, not together. I just wasn’t allowed to play them.”

Camron says Mays wanted to hide their music
Camron is clearly eager to put out new music. He dropped a freestyle to promote It Is What It Is Season 4, and fans flooded the IG comments section with requests for the new album. Cam’s latest release is the 2023 mixtape The Lost Tapes Vol. 1. 1, but he repeatedly emphasized how well he worked with Metz. “They’re hot, too,” he points out. “I’m not going to be up front, he’s got some really, really, really good songs. What’s he doing with them? I can’t answer that question.
Hopefully Cuaron can force Mays to release this album. The former may take a long time to release new releases, but Mase hasn’t dropped a project since 2004’s Welcome Back. “The Emancipation of Mason Bertha,” which is dated given Diddy’s current legal situation. Aside from this standalone single, though, Mase hasn’t been seen since 2014’s Eric Bellinger’s “Nothing.” Any song.
Now it’s officially time to return, and it looks like Cam’ron is slowly getting ready for it.
