Future and Metro Boomin’s second album “We Still Don’t Trust You” topped the Billboard 200 album chart (April 27). The dynamic duo’s No. 1 project sold 127,500 equivalent album units in its first week of release.
The rap duo’s new chart achievements make Future the fifth rapper in history to have 10 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, and Metro his fifth to lead the chart.
Future and Metro Boomin’s reign at No. 1 may reportedly be short-lived, as Taylor Swift’s just-released album The Tortured Poets Department was released last Friday (April 19) It sold 1.4 million copies in traditional album sales on its first day (April 19). With early sales figures like these, Swift is sure to hit the top spot next week.
Album sales aside, Future and Metro Boomin are generating buzz on social media thanks to Ye’s appearance on the duo’s unconfirmed remix of their Kendrick Lamar-assisted song “Like That” ” premiered his own poem.
On Saturday (April 20), Ye appeared on The Download podcast and debuted his song on the remix of “Like That.” The song features the Chicago rapper and producer featuring Drake and J. Cole. The track can be heard below.

Future and Metro Boomin’s “We Don’t Trust You” Debuts on Billboard 200
“We Still Don’t Trust You” follows its predecessor, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in March. Future and Metro Boomin’s “We Don’t Trust You” sold 251,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release. The figure marked the highest first-week sales for a rap album in 2024, and was followed by the duo’s single “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Number one on the singles chart.
The No. 1 debut of “We Don’t Trust You” marks Future’s ninth No. 1 album, his previous chart-topper being his 2022 ninth studio album “I Never Liked You” . Metro Boomin, which marks his fourth No. 1 album. “Heroes & Villains” also previously topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2022.
