YNW Melly, Mozzy, Berner and more – New Hip Hop Project

While the exciting dramas from Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole have come to an end this week, there’s still plenty of new movies to keep fans satisfied. This week sees two long-awaited returns from a CMG signee and currently jailed rapper, as well as the return of a stoner rap veteran with his first project of 2024 and more.

YNW Melly returns with young new wave album

While YNW Melly is currently still in jail awaiting trial for an alleged double murder, the rapper was able to piece together some lyrics into a tape. The 11-song album is titled Young New Wave and includes performances from his YNW BSlime, Hotboi, Toosii and more. This is Melly’s first release since 2021’s Just a Matter of Slime, which features Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black and more.

Mozzy releases new album ‘Ghetto Sons’

Sacramento, California rapper Moz returns with his new album Children of the Slums, which is dedicated to the lost souls of the community. The album is designed to help relatives living on the streets and is Mozzy’s second album to release with CMG since signing with Yo Gotti’s record label in 2022. Released in March, it stars Eric Bellinger.

Bernard abandons farmers market project

Berner returns on Wednesday (April 17) with The Farmers Market , his first new project of 2024. , also Burna’s first album since 2023’s Arrogance is Ignorance. Berner also dropped OGHEESY collaborations in 2023, which included appearances from GT and Mozzy.
