iOne Digital, a division of Urban One, has officially relaunched and renamed its digital content asset Elev8.com. Elev8, pronounced “ele-vate,” is now a digital hub for spiritual and wellness content tailored to a Gen Z audience seeking motivation and inspiration.
The new website will create space for healthy, inspiring and authentic conversations and video content around mind, body, spirit and culture. iOne Digital Editorial Director Aliya Faust is excited to relaunch Elev8 this month with content centered on self-care, spirituality, trending news, and Elev8’s pioneers of the Christian hip-hop and R&B revolution.
“I think it’s important to have a brand like Elev8 because we acknowledge that what you eat for your mind and body matters. Health is multifaceted. I always refer to four of the eight dimensions of health. Spiritual Health, emotional health, physical health, social health, etc. – it’s all interconnected. When we nurture them in harmony, life is enhanced,” said Faust.
This April, Elev8.com will feature exclusive videos, photos and interviews with seven revolutionary gospel hip-hop and R&B pioneers: Jor’Dan Armstrong, Wande, Childlike CiCi, Mike Teezy, Stevie Rizo, Lee Vasi and Franschesca. Posted today is Wande’s exclusive interview with Elev8, please read it now.
“Honestly, I think the landscape of Christian hip-hop and R&B is really in an amazing place. I think we have so many different artists that you don’t just get one thing every time. I think people are unapologetic Be yourself and be unapologetically [about giving you] quality while challenging your beliefs with every song. So I think it’s a great place and I’m happy to see so many people discovering music,” Wande said in an interview with Elev8.
