One of Naldo Wick’s colleagues accused of brutally attacking a teenage fan last year may have just gotten himself into more trouble.
On Wednesday (March 20), court documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Zachary L. Benton, 34, was charged with assaulting 15-year-old George Obregon in December. Missed scheduled court date. Benton lost his $2,000 cash bond because of the missed appointment. Benton actually turned himself in to authorities before missing his appointment.
A 15-year-old male was also arrested and both were charged with felony battery. The teen faces additional charges for possessing a gun while wearing a mask.
Obregon and his friend Connor Vera attended Wick’s concert at the Skye Club in Tampa. After the concert, both Obregon and Vera attempted to approach members of Wick’s entourage, asking to take photos with the “Who Wants a Smoke” rapper. At that point, Benton approached Obregon and punched him so hard that he knocked him unconscious and hit his head on the pavement as he fell to the ground. Authorities said the teen charged with Obregón also struck the victim multiple times after she was knocked down, before Wick intervened.
Obregón was reportedly rushed to hospital where he was reportedly treated for a severe concussion and was believed to be bleeding from the area. Medical professionals apparently don’t know whether Obregón will suffer any long-term effects from the attack.
