Kanye West mocked Baton Rouge native Boosie Badazz after he refuted Ye’s recent claim that he invented various musical styles over the past two decades.
According to a soon-to-be-deleted Instagram Story post, West just realized that Boosie’s “Wipe Me Down” came out in 2007, a period during which he claims to have created all the genres of music. West mocked Boosie in the song, joking that he had nothing to do with the genre.
“I take no responsibility for this genre,” he wrote.

Boosie Badazz was responding to claims made by Kanye West during an interview with radio personality Big Boy.
“I invented every musical style in the past 20 years,” Ye declares. “I created weekend style, [Travis Scott], Drake.I will take all my love, future and [Young] Thugs also because of the auto-tune album, 808s [and Heartbreak]”.
Busey took to Instagram on Friday (March 15) to refute West’s claims. Additionally, Busey insisted that no one in the project listened to Kanye West.
“Not all genres, not all styles,” he began. Not Bussy Music! ! Nothing you rap about your music resonates with me! No one listens to KANYE’s “Trench Project”! ! I, a wise man, say “My people have nothing to do with you.”

In addition to Boosie’s reaction to Kanye West, Kid Cudi also seemed to have a reaction to his former collaborator. He shared a screenshot of a Wikipedia page stating that Cudi’s voice inspired 808s & Heartbreak. It also included a quote from West, acknowledging that he and Cudi were “the originators of the style.”
