Kanye West’s daughter North West has announced that she is working on her debut rap album, Elementary School Dropout.
North West Announces New Album
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign hosted a Vultures 2 listening event on Sunday night (March 10) at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Along with debuting the new album, Ye also gave her daughter North a chance to reveal the news to the crowd.
“I’ve been working on an album,” North tells the concertgoers in the video below, who burst into applause. “It’s called dropping out of elementary school.”
North did not reveal further details about the upcoming product. The new album’s title is an obvious nod to her father’s 2004 debut record, The College Dropout.

North launches rap career
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter, North, has recently shown a desire to follow in her father’s footsteps. In December 2023, she performed at a Vultures 1 album listening event in Miami. She also makes a guest appearance on Vultures 1’s song “Talking,” where she raps: “I love it here/We got another year/Here’s your good friend, miss, Miss Westie/Don’t try to test me/It’s gonna be a mess .”
