Beyoncé Drops Surprise Anniversary Deluxe: To celebrate her birthday, Variety reported that Beyoncé officially released a 20th Anniversary Digital Deluxe Edition of B’Day. The surprise rollout includes previously unreleased vault tracks featuring Pharrell Williams and a rare duet honoring Selena Quintanilla.
Variety broke it Sep 4 that deluxe includes Maluma collaboration and Selena tribute track Check On It vault version. Dropped at midnight Sep 4 for her 45th birthday, already number 1 on iTunes in 40 countries. Biggest surprise drop since Renaissance.
