SoLa Foundation and Live Nation teamed up in South Los Angeles to run youth accelerator programs training the next generation of hip-hop festival curators. The SoLa Foundation has partnered with Live Nation Entertainment to train a new generation of live entertainment professionals from South LA.
The SoLa Live Accelerator Program selects 20 participants annually (Ages 16-22) to explore various career pathways in the live entertainment business through a 6-month intensive that includes guest speaker engagements, guidance from Live Nation staff, immersive field trips, and experiential learning.
The initiative is part of a larger 8,500-square-foot AI and Entertainment Center in Crenshaw opening in early 2025, hosting the Live Nation Next Gen paid apprenticeship. Students earn a stipend and a portion of festival profits while learning booking, marketing, and operations directly from execs including CEO Michael Rapino.
