Gloss Up is undergoing surgery after a car accident, and her team says doctors are working to save her foot rather than remove it.
Gloss Up survived a serious car accident that left her with severe injuries to her feet as doctors raced to save her. Her management released a statement on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, clearing up confusion over her own story suggesting her foot had been amputated.
The team said she was receiving heavy medication and undergoing surgery, and that the amputation came from her own painful understanding of the condition.
The team at Gloss Up made it clear that the injury has not yet reached that level.
“Just to clarify: her foot was not amputated,” the statement read, adding that surgeons were actively working to treat and save it. Management asked fans to keep an eye on her and her medical team as she recovers.

The accident happened at a time when Gloss Up’s career was booming. The Memphis native teamed up with producer Dubba-AA to release “Inferno” in January. The eight-song project is built entirely around his beats and features guest vocals from YFN Lucci.
She started writing nursery rhymes when she was a child in South Memphis, and later began working her way through local talent shows and open mics.
She had an early connection with Memphis rapper GloRilla, dating back to years before they had a record deal. The friendship helped her launch her debut mixtape, Different Shades of Gloss, in 2019.
Quality Control signed Gloss Up in 2023, launching “Before the Gloss Up” and “Shades of Gloss” that same year.
Following these, she launched “Not Ya Girl: Act One” in 2024, a project that relied on guest appearances from Jacquees, Hunxho and Skilla Baby. That tape established her as one of the most consistent voices in the Memphis scene.
Gloss Up has built all of this into a genuine following, with over 1 million people following her on Instagram alone.
She’s also made headlines for reasons outside of music, including her repeated appearances on Instagram over her alleged affair with Hunxho. Last year, she had a brief stint on the reality show “Bad Guys Go Wild.”
Her management has not said when Gloss Up will be discharged from the hospital or how long she expects to take to recover.
