Streamer Jake Doherty slapped Lil Jai at a Fourth of July party and then ran away when the rapper’s team responded with force.
Lil Tjay got the biggest shock of his life at a July 4th pool party when streamer Jack Doherty walked up to him, slapped him in the face, and then started running.
The whole thing happened at Doherty’s party in Florida, and when he got in touch, Tjay’s entire team moved in to take care of things.
The incident turned into an all-out melee when Doherty decided to test the rapper with a body move that didn’t land the way he thought it would.
Of course, immediately after the incident, Doherty’s pursuers posted on X bragging about what he had just done.
“I slapped Lil Tjay,” he wrote with a laughing emoji, like he had just pulled off the prank of the century.
What makes this moment even more compelling is Doherty’s track record of pushing boundaries and facing the consequences.
The 22-year-old content creator was banned from PGA Tour events for paying viewers to distract golfers, was arrested in Miami Beach in November 2025 for drug possession and disrupting traffic, and crashed a $200,000 McLaren while live-streaming in 2024.
He also faces a civil lawsuit stemming from a 2023 incident in which he allegedly assaulted someone at a party and live-streamed the entire incident.
This pattern shows that a person is constantly testing how far he can go before reality catches up with him.
The difference this time was that Tjay’s team reacted immediately and physically, which is exactly what happens when you put your hands on someone around you ready to move.
Doherty’s legal team is reportedly reviewing footage of the altercation to determine whether any charges will be brought against the rapper’s security team for their response.
