Kevin Gates quickly pushed away a woman who rushed towards him trying to take a photo.
Gates attended the 2026 BET Awards on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles. A video circulating online shows the rapper walking down the street in a suit, surrounded by cameras and fans. An overzealous fan ran up to Gaetz and tried to pose for a photo. Gates stared for a second, then immediately pushed the woman away from him and moved on.
Fans have mixed feelings about the clip.
“He never plays with his personal space!!! We all know that, so it’s her own fault,” one person commented.
“This is why you need safety,” another person wrote. “Lol when one doesn’t respect boundaries then security can do the dirty work so you don’t end up looking like this on your blog.”
Another post read: “This is not funny, she is a fan. He needs to fight back.”

In 2015, the Louisiana rapper kicked an 18-year-old female fan during a concert at Rumors nightclub in Lakeland, Florida, when she pulled on his shorts to get his attention. He was later charged with assault and sentenced to 180 days in jail and one year of probation after being found guilty the following year.
