A woman suing Ye for allegedly assaulting her during a 2010 music video shoot cried during an interview as she described the rapper putting his fingers in her mouth and allegedly strangling her.
On Wednesday (June 10), the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast premiered an interview with former America’s Next Top Model contestant Jennifer An, who sued Yeezy in 2024 for gender violence. Ann broke down as she described the incident, in which she claimed the rapper and producer forced his fingers into her mouth and choked her until she passed out.
“He asked me to sit in a chair in front of the camera,” Ann recalled. “Then the playback started and all of a sudden, he reached out with one hand and started choking me. I’m not sure what happened. Then, he reached out with his other hand and started choking me with both hands… and then put his hand into my mouth. It simulated oral sex.”
She continued: “I remember feeling suffocated,” she recalled. “Like, not sure [and] Scared. “
The incident allegedly occurred on the set of Ye and LaRue’s collaboration, “In for the Kill.” After strangling An, Ye allegedly yelled, “This is art. This fucking art. I’m like Picasso,” the lawsuit states. Ann also claimed that prominent figures in the music industry tried to cover up the incident.
XXL has reached out to Ye’s team for comment.
