Cardi B plans to hit the second leg of her tour in September and October, but she’s taking her time to make sure she gets the best deal possible.
The rapper silenced critics who questioned her finances by detailing how much she made and spent on her first tour.
“I do want to go on tour soon. Ideally, though, I’d still like to go on tour. I’d say September, October, so I can be gone in November and December. And January. However, it has to be fucking right. I feel like I showed how much money I can make, How much can I make. I’ve had a lot of people offer me a lot of different products, different promoters have given me a lot of money, how much can I make. I’ve had a lot of people offer me a lot of different products, different promoters can give me the best deal.
The Bronx native revealed she’s made $70 million from her tours, but that number doesn’t tell the whole story. After paying her agents and management 10 percent of the $20 million advance and 5 percent commission, the actual fees began to add up.
The production cost alone was as high as $35 million, and the crew required 26 buses and about 25 crew members.
“How much did I spend on the production? The tour, no lie, about $35 million. No lie. How many people were there besides the dancers, because you only see the dancers? We had about 26 buses. So, that’s just the $35 million we spent in the beginning. During the tour, you’re still spending money,” she explained.
In addition to the production, Cardi also had to bear venue penalties for being late. Sometimes compensation amounts range from $40,000 to $50,000 per incident. She also participated in after-party appearances and endorsement deals, which she argued were smart business moves.
The rapper stressed that she wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to make money, especially when she has her four children and extended family to support.
“I’m not going to say no to bags. Well, you’re not going to take every bag clearly, but one thing I learned while being pregnant with Blossom, I love that all these endorsement deals were coming, and when they found out I was pregnant with Blossom, people took back their endorsement deals,” she said.
Cardi also mentioned that she recently spent $450,000 on a necklace, $500,000 on a car, and $20,000 on a belly ring, proving that she is far from being in financial trouble. She is currently weighing offers from different sponsors and plans to make a decision within two weeks.
The rapper is also suffering from neck pain from touring and is looking for the best experts in the country to help her recover.
