A certain echelon of rappers have not forgotten what the blogging era of hip-hop was like. Wiz Khalifa and mgk really rose and thrived during that time, and it seems they decided to honor their shared past with a new mixtape.
The rapper just released a new music video and song called “Everything Tatted,” and the two find common ground in being covered in tattoos. Literally, everything was disrupted.
The project, aptly named “Blog Era Boyz Mixtape,” features the likes of Bam Margera, Ty Dolla $ign, and Boo Johnson, and will help bring the nostalgia home. mgk and Wiz have previously teased the tape and artwork, even creating a dedicated website (or should we say blog?) for fans awaiting the mixtape’s release. In terms of live experience, Wiz is also participating in mgk’s ongoing North American tour, which is named Lost Americana in commemoration of his album released last year. If you’d like to see both shows in your city, check out the tour dates below!
