A Florida woman went to H###### for the first time since the company declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Her experience? Nostalgic.
TikTok user Leah Fennelly (@leah_fennelly), a recent law graduate from the Tampa area, recalled the restaurant in a post that has more than 5,060 views. “The Chicken Wing Queen is back,” she wrote in the caption. In the background, she used audio from a Miley Cyrus clip, talking about being in a good mood while reflecting on her past.
This TikToker is a H###### girl who participated in the 2022 Miss H###### beauty pageant. She has since posted videos criticizing the pageant system, calling it “rigged.” The competition subsequently caused her to lose faith in the company. Later she said the environment became exhausting, so she stopped working at the franchise.
In 2025, H###### declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy, causing the company to close many stores across the country.
The current situation of H######
The franchise has changed since H###### filed for bankruptcy. CEO Neil Keifer announced that the company will adopt a pure franchise model and has 130 existing stores across the United States. The CEO also announced that the franchise would be ditching the adult brand in favor of a more family-friendly approach.
Kiefer reportedly told Fox News that customers “don’t want butt on their plate.” “They should be sporty, not sexy,” the CEO added. The franchise will shift to a business and marketing approach that brings back a nostalgic vibe. Kiefer even mentioned restoring the company’s ’80s look and feel.
Ex Florida H###### girl participation
Fenelly is a content creator with over 195,000 followers on TikTok, known for her H###### related content. The Florida native had been a well-known employee of the franchise for several years before leaving. Fennelly even gained notoriety for publicly discussing her law school experience while working at a restaurant.
Now, Fennelly rarely posts about her experience working at the company. She occasionally discussed the dwindling returns she received from the franchise, as well as the beauty pageant, toward the end of her run. In one post, she showed off part of her hairstyle while saying she only made $20 from her shift.
“Remember when I used to spend more on gas and makeup than I made?” Fennelly asked in the description.
She has said in other interviews that she would return to the company if the restructuring went in the “right direction,” including the vibrant and fun work environment she remembered from its heyday.
Are people still fans of H######?
Although H###### has undergone a massive reorganization in the past few months, things are not looking promising. While Fennelly clearly has a soft spot for the franchise restaurants she worked at, her reviewers don’t necessarily share the same nostalgia. The changes in the business have driven away some regular customers who commented on posts by TikTok content creators.
“Having recently left ######, after bankruptcy and franchise takeover, money has become scary…” said one viewer. Fennelly liked the comment.
Commenters recommended alternative “breastaurants” such as Twin Peaks. Another company in this category, Ojos Locos, has also received rave reviews recently, although reviewers didn’t mention the smaller chain in Fennelly’s post.
AllHipHop reached out to Fennelly via TikTok private messages and comments. We also contacted H###### via email for more information. If either party responds, we will notify you.
