Ye said that in the debate between Jay-Z and Ye that circulated on the Internet, no one could defeat him in a Verzuz battle.
Deon Cole took to his Instagram account on Tuesday (April 7) to share a video of himself talking to Ye, who made a surprise appearance on the comedy set of Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles on Monday night (April 6). Comedian Ocean Glapion, who was also on stage during Cole’s show, said no one can be Ye in the Verzuez fight. That’s when Cole asked Ye his thoughts on the topic.
“No one,” Ye replied, then smiled mischievously.
The Chicago rapper and producer later pointed out that despite playing a plethora of his hits during his historic two-night concert at SoFi Stadium, he didn’t perform some chart-topping songs like “Gold Digger” and “Touch the Sky.”
Deon Cole, who attended one of Ye’s SoFi shows, admitted Ye was right in not playing some of his most famous songs, showing he could hold his own in a Verzuz battle.
Ye’s boastful remarks on Verzuz came on the heels of a popular debate on social media about whether Jay-Z or Ye would win the battle of the songs.
Journalist Brian “B.Dot” Miller and podcast king Joe Budden both believe that Hov can easily defeat Yeezy in the Verzuz battle. However, DJ Akademiks believes Ye will beat Jay in Verzuz.
