Rappers 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Finesse2tymes and more have shared their thoughts on the alleged robberies involving Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane.
On Thursday (April 2), the U.S. Department of Justice announced federal charges against nine people, including Pooh Shiesty and Big30, for allegedly kidnapping and armed robbery of multiple victims (one of whom was allegedly Gucci Mane) at a Dallas music studio. Several rappers took to social media to express their views on the shocking news.
50 Cent shared his thoughts in a post on Instagram that has since been deleted. The G-Unit leader pointed to Gucci Mane’s infamous 2005 shootout that killed Young Jeezy’s colleague Pookie Loc, a case in which Gucci was cleared after arguing that he acted in self-defense.
“Damn, man,” Fife wrote in the deleted post. “I thought you were smoking on Pookie Loc. Stay tuned for the next episode of Atlanta Exclusive!”
50 also released footage of a Justice Department press conference discussing the alleged robbery.
“Stay tuned for this week’s show who told them! Haha,” he wrote, possibly suggesting someone tipped off authorities.
Finesse2tymes also commented on the situation with Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane. The Memphis rapper said he believed one of Gucci Mane’s security guards, reportedly a retired police officer, might be cooperating against Pooh Shiesty.
Rick Ross was also involved. In the video below, the Miami boss expresses the sentiment that when conducting business, it should never come to a point where someone has to commit a criminal act.
“I don’t like either side… Guwop definitely doesn’t deserve this, I don’t want to see this lad Pooh Shiesty, but this is where they have to get educated and understand the business you have to negotiate,” Rozai said.
