Kanye West is undoubtedly one of the best musicians of his generation, but is artistry the only measure of influence we have? In shocking new court documents, singer LaRue confirmed model Jennifer Ann’s allegations that she was sexually assaulted by the famous rapper and producer.
For those who don’t know, this is related to an ongoing lawsuit brought by model Jennifer An, who claims inappropriate behavior beneath the veneer of artistic expression. According to Ahn, Kanye choked and gagged her without prior discussion or consent while filming a music video for Roux’s song “In for the Kill.”
“I will never forget that, it was horrible,” Roux confirmed in a message to An on Instagram, as shown in screenshots attached to official court documents filed by survivors. “Thankfully I have never seen this video and obviously I ask that it never be used or allowed to be seen as you are understandably very worried about anyone or your family seeing it,” LaRue wrote in an exchange with Jennifer, who had reached out to see if she remembered the incident LaRue witnessed.
According to Jennifer’s formal complaint and Rolling Stone reports, Ye “inserted several fingers down her throat and kept moving them in and out,” effectively “miming[ing] Forced oral sex. “This is art,” West shouted. “This is fucking art,” the lawsuit states. I’m like Picasso. “
According to more snippets of the Jennifer-LaRoux conversation, Kanye also apparently showed off his power and threatened LaRoux over his music career.
