TI revealed that Dr. Dre contributed to his final album, Kill the King , as the Atlanta rapper prepares to retire from the music industry.

Dr. Dre is producing T.I.’s new album, and the production is going to be incredible for the Atlanta legend’s last project before retirement.

T.I. confirmed at the 2026 Grammy Awards that “Kill the King” will be his final album, and now the legendary West Coast producer is contributing to it.

“Dr. Dre gave me a record,” T.I. said, explaining that the track also featured Anderson Paak and an artist he identified as Stallone.

“It’s a cool record. It’s called Where I’m From.” Drug records. “

According to TI, the collaboration unfolded over multiple meetings rather than a single recording. Del Rey initially sent him the song and then invited him to record it at his home studio.

“He sent it to me and I went to the house and put it away,” T.I. said. “Then I wrote another poem and went back.

The collaboration marks a huge moment for both artists, with T.I. preparing to end his career on a high note. TI has been clear about making the final chapter work.

The rapper released “Let Em Know,” produced by Pharrell Williams, as the project’s lead single.

The song set the tone for what fans could expect from Kill the King. The album represents the culmination of TI’s decades-long hip-hop career, and Dr. Dre’s involvement greatly elevated the project’s profile.

Given the mutual respect these two giants have in the industry, a collaboration between them makes sense.

Dr. Dre has a proven track record of elevating the projects he’s involved with, and TI’s legacy deserves top-tier production.

The Atlanta rapper said they worked together in the studio for about a week during the process.

When asked if he received the famously meticulous “Dr. Dre treatments,” T.I. said they were demanding but productive.

TI’s decision to retire after releasing this album has been consistent throughout his recent interviews. He made it clear that “Kill the King” represented his final statement as a recording artist.

The project will showcase his evolution while honoring the foundation he established throughout his career. With Dr. Dre’s production expertise, this album has the potential to become a career-defining work.

“It’s always for the best, for a better record. I always support the people that I know are committed to making the absolute best s### that we can make,” T.I. told AllHipHop.

The release schedule for To Kill Kings is still under wraps, but anticipation continues to grow as more details emerge about the project’s scope and collaborators.
