Cardi B blasted Trump media adviser Alex Bruesewitz for implicating her in Nicki Minaj bot allegations.
On Tuesday (February 24), Cardi B spoke out on X to Donald Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz, who dragged her name into the online conversation about a Politico article involving thousands of bots amplifying Nicki Minaj’s conservative-leaning posts on X.
According to reporter Jason Beeferman’s Politico report, disinformation research firm Cyabra found that more than 18,000 bots were interacting with Nicki’s conservative posts and boosting their visibility on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform. Dan Brahmy, CEO and founder of Cyabra, told Politico that much of the activity came from fake profiles.
On the
“This story is 100% bullshit! @NICKIMINAJ, the most popular female rapper of all time, doesn’t need ‘robots’ promoting her on social media,” he wrote. “Politico’s Jason Beeferman, also a fake news hacker, failed to disclose that Cybara, the company that conducted the report, has a relationship with Cardi B’s agent.”
“Given the public controversy surrounding the music industry, Beaverman’s failure to disclose this relationship is extremely unethical and inappropriate,” he continued. “Fake news is the enemy of the people!”
Cardi B doesn’t like being drawn into the discussion and pushed back on Bruesewitz’s claim that the Bronx rapper may have had some influence on Cyabra’s report about bots pushing Nicki’s MAGA posts. She also threatened to sue Brusewitz for defamation.
“Listen, you got me involved in something that has nothing to do with me, so now we’re going to talk about the facts,” she clapped back in a post on X. “Cyabra is a data company that has a lot of investors like Mike G, clients like Elon Musk and PepsiCo use the company for data, and it even has Mike Pompeo on its advisory board.”
“So what you need to focus on is that the data is very real and let me distance myself from your nonsense. I have nothing to do with it and I don’t give it AF!” she continued. “Now lie and say that’s not true!!! See what happens when you involve me in something that has nothing to do with me? I’m going to take it to the gristle!! BTW I’m still going to sue you, you filthy bitch.”
“My tour is all sold out, so I’m not going to give a shit about what you and your team are doing,” Buddy added. “America has a lot of problems, businesses are closing, homeowners are slashing prices, interest rates are high…and yet Trump’s advisor is arguing with a female rapper on Twitter.”
Meanwhile, United Talent’s Mike G, an advisor and investor in Cybara’s actual business model, weighed in on Cardi and Bruesewitz’s heated argument and came to the Grammy-winning rapper’s defense.
“Let’s be clear: My advisory role and investments in Cyabra and multiple other tech companies have absolutely nothing to do with Cardi B,” he said on
“I invest in innovation. I represent artists. These are different lanes,” he continued. “Trying to translate that into something else is lazy and misleading.”
