Four people were reportedly shot at a memorial service for late rapper Lil Poppa in Florida yesterday.
According to Action News Jax (CBS 47), four people were shot when gunfire erupted at a Lil Poppa memorial service in Jacksonville, Florida early on Sunday (February 22). Jacksonville police said someone or more people fired 12 to 15 shots, hitting four victims: two women, ages 34 and 39, and two men, ages 37 and 43.
The 34-year-old woman was found at the scene and taken to a local hospital, while the other three victims took themselves to hospital. Police are still investigating the incident but have not yet identified a suspect.

Lil Poppa, a native of Jacksonville, died on February 18 in Georgia. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. TMZ also reported that the 25-year-old rapper died after a car accident.
After learning of the tragic news of Poppa’s passing, many rappers took to social media to express their condolences.
Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace posted a message on his Instagram account that included videos and photos with Poppa.
“It’s 6:30 in the morning and I don’t know I’ve been waiting for Carl to see if you finally tell me not to trust the internet but damn little bro,” Ice wrote in the post. “They are both talking about the same dreams, the same problems, I understand… bro you legend, I hope you understand, stay close to you @lilpoppa, glad we have a chance to mend things.”
No official funeral has been publicly announced by Lil Poppa’s family or management.
