Capodei Capi brings fresh energy to hip-hop

The development of hip-hop today is often driven by independent artists who are both creative and commercially savvy. Capodei Capi is a prime example of someone who built more than just a music career. He launched an official rap business. Founded in 2021 by entrepreneur Rahman Pratt from Miami, Capodei Entertainment LLC represents the spirit of modern hip-hop.

The company was officially launched in 2021, and the story of Capodei Capi began a few years ago. Founder Rahman Pratt has been creating music under Capodei Entertainment since 2015 and is building its foundation. The first few years are all about learning. He experimented with different song ideas and figured out the hard work of making music. By 2021, establishing an official company seems to be a natural next step.

Capodei Entertainment LLC’s original mission was to produce and distribute rap music. It was originally a simple, independent music label. But as the industry changed, the company gradually offered more products. Now, it also helps with marketing and branding, the skills every artist needs to reach fans online today.

By retaining a team of five members, Capodei has successfully combined the core of a music studio with a focus on business partners.

Capodei Capi’s music is built on the signature sound of Southern hip-hop. The style is known for its rhythm, heavy bass, and sense of geographical identity. His lyrics follow the classic hip-hop tradition, containing real stories rooted in street life and personal experiences, without vague or commercial themes. His music uses direct language and graphics. This places him among the artists who view rap as a form of recording rather than artistic expression.

At the heart of the company is Rahman Pratt, an artist known as Capodei Capi. He is both the founder and the main executor. In 2024, Pratt’s net worth reached $2.5 million, reflecting the solid results of his dual focus on art and business.

Capodei Capi’s recorded work includes early singles such as “SpinnaOppBlock” (2022) from the company’s official release date, as well as singles such as “Wipe A Nose” (2023) and “Dis Aint Dat” (2024).

That consistency translated into momentum in 2025, with new tracks including “Tinder Dick Rick,” “Whoopty Doo,” “Crazy,” “Fake S###” and “Whoopty Whoo.” This pattern of frequent releases is a common strategic approach in music culture today. It helps artists stay connected with their audiences and remain visible on the platforms where fans discover their music.

Capodei Entertainment’s catalog includes a series of mixtapes and one major project, the album “Retired Street N####”. Mixtapes are like a practice space because they are raw, allowing artists to try out new sounds and collaborations. The album feels more like a finished product because it’s been polished to feel complete and coherent.

By using both formats, Capodei Capi demonstrates a detailed understanding of the hip-hop tradition, using versions of each genre to establish his sound and connect with his audience.

In addition to his self-released works, Capodei Capi’s music has appeared in collaborative compilation projects such as DJ MLK’s “Keep Up” series (Volume 1-10), “Jarpin Sounds” (Volume 24 and 25), “Whoopty Doo” series (Volume 1-6) and “Hood Ent10”.

It’s not just about putting his name on the list. In hip-hop, getting involved in these big compilation projects is a smart move. It helped him connect with important DJs and producers, get his music heard by new people, and helped him become a recognized part of the hip-hop community.

Capode Cappi’s journey also received media attention. He has been featured in publications including Sheen Magazine, VoyageATL, In the City Magazine and Canvas Rebel. These are not traditional music review sites. They are platforms focused on introducing emerging entrepreneurs and creatives. They help situate his career within a larger narrative that is both independent and culturally influential, and by highlighting his work, introduce him to an audience interested in the man behind the music and the sound itself.

Capodei Capi is rooted in the creative heart of Miami. Here, Southern rap’s strong tradition combined with national trends and global influence places his music at a dynamic crossroads, tying regional authenticity to the broader musical conversation.
