Ye’s daughter North West has released her first official single “Piercing on My Hand.”
Ye’s daughter, North West, appears to be heading into music. After appearing on several of her father’s songs, North has officially released her first solo single.
On February 6, North released her new single “Piercing on My Hand” on the digital streaming platform. The soulful song was produced by Ye and Will Frenchman, a 12-year-old rap prodigy who brags about his lavish teenage lifestyle.
“Piercing my hands, other bands/No friends, just fans, you wouldn’t understand,” North spits on the chorus. “Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand/went to school for two days and then I got banned.”
In the first verse, North rhymes with rock-chic “style” while committing some teenage debauchery.
“Play hooky, yeah I do it every day/Tired of London, someone gonna save me/Get some new Ricks, yeah, they’re crazy/All my songs are hits, you know I ain’t lazy,” she raps.
North West is working on her debut rap album with her superstar father. In January 2025, Ye gave fans an update on her daughter’s project, titled “Elementary School Dropout,” in a now-deleted Instagram post. The update included a black-and-white photo of North sitting at a keyboard.
“This little girl made me fall in love with music again,” Ye captioned the image. “She asked me to make beats for her and I went back to ASR Chopped to make beats for her album and made every beat for BULLY freehand.”
It seems that Apple is not far from the Ye family.
