The Atlanta rapper accused 50 Cent of starting a Verzuz war with TI during a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Nightcap show, and 50 Cent later fired back at TI.

The G-Unit boss posted TI’s infamous “Crime Stoppers” ad on social media. He wrote, “I know Atlanta picks who they support but y’all have to do better. Haha. Don’t say my name.”

50 Cent later posted TI video proving the shooting death of his good friend Philant Johnson, who was shot to death on southbound Interstate 75 in Cincinnati in May 2006. The shooting was a continuation of an earlier altercation between TI’s entourage and several men at the Ritz Club.

The gunman was eventually caught and sentenced to 66 years in prison. Most reactions to Fif’s TI video have been negative.

“This is ### lame and I’m not even from the south but this looks like a deflection 50 my guy but if you have time to do all this just do the fight B####### you have time to rehearse,” one user said. Another added: “Done everything but accepted the challenge. SMH.”

TI appeared on Nightcap earlier this week with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. The King of the South said he wanted to face 50 Cent at the Battle of Verzuz.

“I called my players out. I said who I wanted. Do you want Weezy? No. I said I wanted 50,” TI said in the interview. “But he doesn’t want to smoke. He hides.”

The Atlanta rapper continues his challenge. “So now we’re trying to consider other people who would be willing to do it,” he said.

50 Cent has repeatedly used TI’s old Crime Stoppers commercials as ammunition over the years. The video shows TI encouraging people to call Atlanta Crime Stoppers with tips about crimes.

This marks a new chapter in the ongoing back-and-forth between the two hip-hop veterans. TI has repeatedly challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz fight, but the Queens native has shied away from accepting the challenge.

Crime Stoppers ads have been a source of controversy throughout TI’s career. Critics questioned his street cred, while supporters dismissed it as just a public service announcement.

50 Cent’s response shows he has no interest in getting TI involved in a music war. Instead, he chose to distract himself with old videos, which have become his go-to response whenever TI calls him out.

The two rappers have previously exchanged shots on social media. TI insists he will dominate 50 Cent in Verzuz battle. He points to his extensive catalog of hits spanning decades as evidence of his victory.

The Verzuz platform has hosted showdowns between major hip-hop artists such as Fat Joe and Ja Rule, Jeezy and Gucci Mane, The LOX and Dipset.

Fans have been wanting to see a showdown between TI and 50 Cent. TI’s latest comments to Nightcap indicate that he’s not giving up on making this fight happen.
