Joe Budden believes Nicki Minaj accepted money to show support for President Trump.
On Wednesday (February 4), the Club Shay Shay Podcast debuted a new interview with the rapper-turned-podcaster, who was asked to comment on Nicki Minaj’s transformation and going all-out MAGA.
“There’s a lot of money out there,” Joe said. “She’s not going to be the first or the last. There’s going to be more celebrities taking this check. Listen, when you’re on that side, they rock. So, I know, that appeals to people. My perspective and the way I was raised, and my family from Sumpter, South Carolina, no.”
“I cannot be complicit,” he continued. “It’s not sleep and nights. So, it bothers me when I see people that I know, that I have some sort of relationship with, and have had some conversations with. … I’ve seen people grow from black trash, black people, and black consumerism to multi-million dollar brands. So, to watch you take away equity and stand there, I can’t stand it.
Nicki Minaj has reached new levels of support for Donald Trump in recent months, speaking at multiple MAGA and Trump-related events.
Recently, she attended the Trump Account Summit in Washington, D.C., and called Trump the greatest president of all time. She later revealed that she had received a free Trump Gold Card, which offered citizenship for a $1 million fee. However, the White House revealed that the card Nikki received was just a “souvenir.”
