A homicide occurred outside TI’s Atlanta recording studio over the weekend.
At approximately 3:17 a.m. on January 31, the Atlanta Police Department received a report of a shooting at Tip Super Sound Studios in northwest Atlanta. Upon arrival, they found a victim in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
As a result of police efforts, the victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently investigating the shooting.
“Homicide investigators attended the scene and are working to establish the circumstances of the incident,” the Australian Police Service said in a release.
TI has owned the studio since 2020, WSB-TV reported. But he does not manage the property. This is not the first time a shooting has occurred at Super Sound Studios. In 2021, a man was shot and killed at the same location. In 2022, a man was shot in the leg in a parking lot. Police believe the shooting was sparked by someone breaking into a car outside the studio.

TI is currently preparing to release his new album, Kill the King. Last month, he released the lead single “Let Em Know,” featuring Pharrell. Tip said this would be his last album.
“I think God has given me a lot of gifts that I can spend more time and energy on and spend more time at home with my family and my grandkids,” T.I. said in an interview at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 1). “There’s a lot to do.”
He has yet to announce a release date for the album.
