Thomas Weidenmuller’s attorney Paul Saso issued the following statement to XXL regarding Nicki Minaj’s eventual $503,000 lawsuit verdict:
“After the vicious attack on my client, he is happy to put it all behind him. We are disappointed that Nicki Minaj and her husband have tried to avoid accountability for years, but the results here confirm that no matter how rich and famous you are, the law still applies. We are extremely pleased that they have finally been held accountable for their attack on my client.”

Nicki Minaj blocked the sale of her $20 million mansion at the 11th hour to satisfy a $503,000 lawsuit judgment.
On Thursday (January 22), a final hearing was held on whether the rap star’s Hidden Hills, California, home will be sold to pay Thomas Weidenmüller’s fees. Thomas Weidenmüller obtained a default judgment last year after Nikki failed to answer his 2022 lawsuit accusing her husband of assaulting him in 2019.
After months of hardship, Nikki finally paid off her debt and avoided a forced sale of her home. Weidenmuller’s attorney, Paul Sasso, confirmed at a news conference outside the court that the debt had been settled.
“Today, we informed the court that Nicki Minaj has satisfied her sentence,” Sasso said. “There is therefore no need to go further with our order authorizing the sale of her house.”
Nikki’s former security guard Thomas Weidenmuller sued her and her husband Kenneth Petty in 2022. Weidenmueller claims he was assaulted by Petty at Nicki’s request in 2019 after she allowed a fan onstage during a show in Germany. She never responded to the lawsuit. As a result, she was ordered to pay Weidenmiller $503,000 in 2024. Despite the verdict, Nikki never handed over the cash, leading Weidenmiller’s attorney to ask the judge to force Nikki to sell her house to get the money. Judge Panuco has carefully considered the decision over the past several months.
“My tentative [ruling] “I just want to make sure we get it right,” Judge Panuco said in November.
The judge said she was just waiting for a statement from Bank of America showing how much of Nicki’s $13 million mortgage payment since purchasing the home in October 2022. The mansion is now worth $20 million.
Some of Nicki’s recent moves have left some fans scratching their heads, while others have condemned the Queens, New York, rapper. Back in December, she appeared on America Day with Erika Kirk and praised President Trump and his regime. Her recent comments about the LGBTQ+ community have also alienated much of her fans.
Amid the drama, Nicki plans to release a new album in March.
