Walt Frazier just launched what may be the most wild baked good of 2026 yet. The Knicks legend absolutely fired up Klay Thompson during Monday night’s MSG broadcast.
Mike Breen praised Thompson’s legendary career. Four NBA championship rings, selected to the All-Star Game, and ranked fourth in history in three-pointers. The usual great basketball talk.
Then Frazier dropped the hammer.
“He really rose to fame,” Frazier said without hesitation. “Megan You Stallion.”
Breen almost lost his way on the broadcast. “What are you doing? You’re going to get a warning. And you’re going to get me into trouble!”
The 80-year-old broadcasting legend hasn’t stopped pranking. Just two days ago, Frazier said Devin Booker’s popularity comes from Kendall Jenner’s “Kardashian fame.”
Frazier’s timing was perfect. Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion have been dating since July 2025. They went public with fiery social media posts and mini-golf dates.
Relationship Timeline tells a crazy story. Thompson is averaging 12.0 points per game to start the 2025-26 season. His shooting percentage dropped to a career low.
Since dating Megan, Thompson’s three-point shooting has dropped to 34.7%. His field goal percentage was 39.0%. Those numbers represent his worst statistical season since his rookie year.
The Dallas Mavericks have a record of 18 wins and 26 losses this season. Thompson’s decline coincided with the publicity of his romance.
Megan was on the sidelines for multiple games. She posted photos on Instagram wearing custom Mavericks gear. The couple sparked move-in rumors in October 2025.
Frazier’s comment raised mixed eyebrows because it was partially correct. Thompson’s basketball legacy speaks for itself. Four championships, key playoff performances and elite shooting record with the Golden State Warriors.
But the conversation surrounding Thompson on social media is now focused on Meghan. Their relationship made more headlines than his basketball performance.
The Hot Girl of the Summer rapper brings huge star power to the table. Her 32 million Instagram followers dwarf Thompson’s basketball audience. Entertainment blogs covered their dates more than the sports media covered his games.
Still, Thompson’s career legacy remains unshakable. All-NBA selections, All-Defensive selections, clutch moments in the playoffs and Steph Curry’s Splash Brothers legacy changed the game of basketball forever.
