A$AP Rocky is finally back with his much-anticipated, long-delayed new album Don’t Be Dumb .
On Friday (January 16), the Harlem, New York, rapper finally released his first solo album in seven years. Don’t Be Dumb contains 17 songs, produced by The Alchemist, Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Hitkidd, Madlib, Metro Boomin and more. Starring include Tyler, The Creator, Westside Gunn, Doechii, Sauce Walka and more. “Rocky” incorporates a variety of genres into the project, which previously featured singles “Punk Rocky” and “Helicopter$.”
The album was originally planned for release in August 2024. However, Rocky announced that the release date would be delayed due to sample clearance issues. Rocky is already busy dealing with legal issues as 2025 begins, as he was acquitted of two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm for the shooting death of his former childhood friend A$AP Relli.
Fans are hoping to get the project soon after the legal drama wraps up, and things sound promising.
“The album is done,” he told GQ last February. “I just want to give it away. I don’t want to keep saying what I’m going to do, I want to give people what I’ve been promising them for a long time.”
However, Rock spent the rest of 2025 focusing on other ventures. In September, he welcomed his third child with Rihanna. In December, he confirmed the album would hit the charts of the year.
