Yella Beezy’s trial for her role in Mo3’s murder is due to begin next month.
Ten months after Yella Beezy (born Makies Conway) was arrested and charged with murder for allegedly paying a hitman to shoot Mo3 in 2020, Beezy’s trial date is getting closer. Yella Beezy’s trial date is scheduled for February 2. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 16.
However, Beezy’s team is still trying to sift through the vast amount of evidence the state claims to have against the rapper, including “approximately 16 terabytes of data, 125 GB of which was provided during December 2025.”
Beezy’s attorneys filed a motion on Jan. 7 asking the judge to let the state identify the evidence it plans to use during the trial.
“The majority of the discovery was not related to Conway,” the document reads. “This discovery was not material to the outcome of the case. Nor did it reveal any new or relevant facts about the case. There were audit documents, jail calls and numerous other documents that were not relevant to the case. There were some video files and many minutes passed with nothing happening. There were numerous video files and other data that showed or described the same incident over and over again. Some of the files were labeled not showing their contents and were labeled with numbers that had no meaning to the defense.”
Yella Beezy was arrested last March and accused of paying Kewon White to shoot Mo3 as part of an ongoing feud between the two rappers. Beezy was initially guaranteed $2 million. Weeks after his arrest, he posted bail, which was later reduced to $750,000. The Dallas rapper is out on bail pending trial.
