Max B is out of jail, hungrier than ever, and after 15 years behind bars, he blesses the microphone. The rapper known for popularizing the word “wave” has teamed up with French Montana to produce an impressive 23-track project that the two are proud of.
Titled Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos, the album is over an hour long and was produced and produced by the likes of Metro Boomin, Harry Fraud and Chinx. In fact, the rapper cleverly reclaims the word “wave,” opening the album with a song called “Make America Wave Again” (MAWA), subverting Donald Trump’s infamous “Make America Great Again” slogan in his own unique way.
The album cover is also very interesting, the style of French Montana and Max B is reminiscent of the cover of “Grand Theft Auto”.
Behind their faces, one can see everything New York has to offer, including the Apollo Theater, a sign that says “Harlem” and a sign that says “Welcome to the Bronx.” Not to mention the ubiquitous heist-related elements in the foreground, as well as “Waves” – a subtle nod to Max B’s contribution to the rapper’s lexicon.
