Multiple petitions have been launched calling for Nicki Minaj to be deported to Trinidad and have received over 100,000 signatures.
Nicki Minaj’s comments with Charlie Kirk’s widow Erica Kirk at the Turning Point USA festival earlier this month and other recent actions have some people speaking out. Two campaigns have been launched to deport Nikki from the United States and return her to her native Trinidad[dot]organize.
The first lawsuit was filed on July 9, citing the rapper’s erratic behavior on social media and marriage to a registered sex offender. It has more than 74,000 signatures. The second petition was started five days after Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance at the Turning Point event on December 27, where she praised Donald Trump and made remarks that appeared to disparage members of the LGBTQ+ community. It has over 30,000 signatures.
“Deporting Nicki Minaj to Trinidad will serve as a reminder that public figures need to be held accountable for their words and the broader impact they have on diverse communities,” the description reads. “Sign this petition urging immigration authorities to review Nicki Minaj’s residency status in the United States and consider deporting her to Trinidad in response to her harmful comments.”
Nicki Minaj’s “MAGA” performance at AmericaFest left people scratching their heads and left many fans with questions. She has yet to fully elaborate on her reasoning since the meeting.
