6ix9ine believes Young Thug and 21 Savage’s “F**k the Streets” campaign was a sneaky loophole that would allow them to collaborate with Gunna.
Tekashi was a guest on the One Night With Steiny podcast on Monday (December 29), where the Brooklyn, New York, rapper addressed the music industry. During the chat, 6ix9ine claimed that the anti-trench movement started by Young Thug and 21 Savage was a ploy to make it cool for Wunna to work with him again after being labeled a snitch.
“They realized Guna didn’t need them,” 6ix9ine said. “Without them, Gunnar will continue to win and continue to be successful.”
“Now, what they’re doing is saying, ‘Listen, if we create a movement that says, ‘Fuck the streets,’ that’ll be fine.” It’s like a get-out-of-jail-free card. It’s saying: ‘Hey, guys. We just let Guna in because the streets were dead. “So, they’re trying to make it a loophole. “We have to create a campaign to confuse fans. “”
Earlier this month, Young Thug and 21 Savage both advocated for abandoned streets on social media. On December 17, 21 Savage shared a post on X urging Thug and Gunna to stop feuding.
“Y’all gotta figure out how to love each other,” 21 Savage wrote. “When he first told you, you knew Guna wasn’t a gangster, we swept it under the rug, you knew he wasn’t trying to hang you in the street, we weren’t going to get the shit, but we were going to be traumatized by the shit.”
On Dec. 19, Thug agreed with X, “Fuck the streets.”
The movement has drawn mixed reviews from hip-hop artists online. One of them, 6ix9ine, accused rappers of easily changing their minds.
