Ray J is escalating his legal battle with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, ramping up accusations of racketeering against the Kardashian family this week by claiming in court documents that the mother and daughter committed more serious crimes than Diddy.
“Kim and Kris’s RICO violations are more serious than any of the RICO violations Diddy has been accused of,” Ray J said in legal documents obtained by TMZ. “Kim and Kris apparently engaged in racketeering activity multiple times over the years and no one stopped them.”
The comparison comes after Diddy was convicted on two prostitution-related charges and sentenced to more than four years in prison.
Ray J’s latest court filings reveal that he consulted ChatGPT to strengthen his legal arguments. The AI chatbot allegedly “solidified” his belief that Kim and Kris were engaging in extortion via business dealings.
The legal battle stems from decades of controversy over the infamous 2003 sex tape that launched King’s career.
In October 2003, Ray J and Kim filmed their intimate encounter while on vacation in Cabo to celebrate her 23rd birthday. The tape was kept under wraps until February 2007, when Vivid Entertainment released it as superstar Kim Kardashian, just months before the premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Ray J now claims that Kim and Chris orchestrated the release of the tape as part of an elaborate publicity plan.
He claimed they conspired with Vivid Entertainment to “deceive the public through false lawsuits” – a reference to Kim’s original legal action against the p### company, which she later reportedly settled for $5 million.
The current legal mess began in October 2025, when Kim and Kris sued Ray J for defamation.
They accused him of falsely claiming during his broadcast that federal authorities were investigating them for RICO violations. Ray J has recommended that the federal government file charges against the family, similar to the charges Diddy faces.
In November 2025, Ray J filed a lawsuit in response, accusing Kim and Kris of violating a $6 million settlement agreement related to the sex tape. He claims they agreed not to discuss the tape publicly, but King reneged on that promise when he spoke about it in interviews and reality TV shows.
In his latest filing, Ray J accuses the Kardashian family of credit card fraud, claiming they charged $850,000 on his family’s credit cards. He also claimed they sent lawyers to “blackmail” him after he discussed the sex tape on a podcast in June 2024.
“In my opinion, Kim and Kris have repeatedly engaged in criminal activity and racketeering activity, violating RICO time and time again,” Ray J declared in court documents. “I have no doubt about it.”
The singer’s attorney, Howard King, filed documents asking a judge to dismiss the Kardashian family’s defamation lawsuit. Ray J maintains that his RICO claims are protected speech and that his allegations are meritorious.
Ray J’s comparison to Diddy is especially important in light of the release of 50 Cent’s blockbuster documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning , which exposed the mogul’s wrongdoing.
The sex tape controversy has followed Ray J and Kim for nearly two decades.
What began as a private moment between young lovers became the basis of one of the entertainment industry’s biggest empires. King parlayed notoriety into reality TV fame, billions of dollars worth of business ventures and global celebrity status.
But Ray J claims this success was achieved through illegal means. He claims the family has been running a criminal enterprise since 2007, using fraud and extortion to build its brand while silencing anyone who threatens its narrative.
