Rod Weaver’s multimillion-dollar legal battle with his former concert promoters has taken a new turn, this time heading to the negotiating table.

A federal judge in Florida ordered the two sides to enter mediation, following months of escalating court filings that resulted in the collapse of the rapper’s “Last Lap Tour,” which Grizzly Touring LLC claimed cost more than $57 million and left $27.2 million unpaid.

The order appoints Tampa attorney Bradford D. Kimbro as mediator and requires the conference to be held by July 15, 2026. Both parties, including Rod Wave’s company, Hit House Entertainment and Grizzly executives, were required to attend in person, documents show. Any unexcused absence may result in sanctions.

The mediation order comes after months of legal battles between the two camps.

Grizzly Touring first sued Rod Wave earlier this year, accusing him of breaching his tour contract, canceling shows and pocketing millions of dollars in unreturned advances.

Organizers claimed to have prepaid more than $20 million for production, travel and insurance, resulting in the rapper’s team canceling 14 of 40 scheduled stage performances.

Rod Wave’s camp fired back, blaming the failure on production issues and promoter mismanagement. His lawyer said Grizzly failed to meet its logistical commitments, leading to flight cancellations and delays.

Grizzly filed a 36-page rebuttal earlier this month, arguing that Rod Wave’s own production team caused the meltdown by overbooking cities and underestimating stage construction costs.

The company also accused his camp of secretly planning competing tours during the contract period, potentially violating their exclusive agreement.

Now, both sides must try to resolve the issue privately. Only the mediator can declare an impasse, and all discussions remain confidential under federal court rules.

The court-appointed mediator’s report will determine whether the dispute is resolved or goes to trial, a decision that could affect the future of Rod Wave’s live performance empire and his relationship with major promoters.
