Benny Blanco’s mother, Sandra Levin, was forced to hide in a bathroom after her Los Angeles home was burglarized, causing a horrific scare for the family, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The incident happened in the Studio City area around 9:30 p.m. when two unidentified men wearing dark clothing and masks forced their way into the home through a sliding glass door, authorities told NBC Los Angeles.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to the outlet that Levine was alone in the house when the intruder entered.
She quickly ran upstairs and locked herself in the bathroom connected to the bedroom. She could hear the suspect walking upstairs and opening a nearby bedroom door, the LAPD said.
When she looked outside, the men spotted her and fled the scene. Police said it was unclear whether the suspect was armed. No injuries were reported and nothing was stolen from the home.
The break-in occurred less than two months after Blanco Gomez and Selena Gomez celebrated their wedding in Santa Barbara on September 27.
The ceremony attracted about 170 guests, including Levin, Blanco’s father Andrew Levin and several well-known figures in the entertainment industry.
Blanco is a producer and songwriter who has worked with some of the biggest names in pop and hip-hop, including Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran.
As of now, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
