Stormzy confirmed the death of his 7-year-old Rottweiler, Enzo, in a touching tribute via Instagram.
The British hip-hop star has shared multiple video clips paying tribute to his guard dog, which he originally acquired in 2018 during his relationship with TV presenter Maya Jama.
“RIP my number one boy. Nothing to say but heartbroken and heartbroken. I loved you so very much my boy,” Stormzy wrote in his Instagram post. “If you know me, you know how much Enzi means to me and I’m going to miss you.”
The rapper invested approximately $20,000 in the highly trained guard dog during the height of his career success. Enzo, also known as “Enz,” served as both a companion and security guard for the “Vossi Bop” artist throughout his rise in the British hip-hop scene.
Celebrity protection dogs such as Rottweilers are reportedly becoming increasingly common among high-profile artists seeking companionship and safety.
The 32-year-old artist disabled comments on his tribute post, but fans later retweeted the post on social media to express their condolences.

Stormzy has a deep bond with his pets, and Enzo has frequently appeared in the rapper’s social media content over the years.
Stormzy and Maya Jama announced their final separation in July 2025 after rekindling their romance in August 2023. The former couple dated for five years before splitting in 2019, with both confirming their recent split was permanent.
The loss comes as Stormzy continues his successful music career and establishes himself as one of the UK’s most prominent grime and hip-hop artists.
His previous chart-topping singles include “Shut Up” and “Big For Your Boots”, which have helped him continue to dominate the UK music charts.
