Max B’s wife explained how they met and why she stayed while he was incarcerated in a recent interview.
On Wednesday night (November 19), his wives (referred to only as Mrs. Max B and Mrs. Wingate) were interviewed on Cam’ron’s Talk With Flee podcast. During the sit-in, she was asked how she connected with Max while he was in prison.
“I met him about ten years ago,” she said. “After reading about his case… I had to write him a letter. I wanted to give him some kind of faith. Since I wrote the first letter, we started talking and got married in February.”
She went on to say that sometimes things are difficult but they are able to work things out.
“It’s hard. A lot of the time I don’t want to stay. But, it’s worth it,” she added. “People out there already have the problem of not being in prison. Imagine the problem of people who are incarcerated [has] You can actually solve these problems like a normal person. He can’t call me every time he wants to. So, sometimes he would get into trouble and I wouldn’t be able to communicate with him… We wrote a lot through hand letters, and I feel like that built our connection. “
Marks and his wife married in February while he was in prison for a 2006 robbery-homicide. He was released earlier this month after serving nearly 18 years in prison. Max presented her with a new ring at a welcome home party in front of friends and family.
